BestMark does not charge a fee to join. Any mystery shopping company that requires an upfront payment to become a shopper should be considered a red flag.
Pay and Reimbursements
Pay varies by assignment type and complexity. Simple retail evaluations may pay $10 to $20 per visit, while more involved shops like dining evaluations can pay $25 to $75 or more, plus reimbursement for the meal. Automotive and hotel evaluations tend to pay on the higher end. Payments are typically made monthly via direct deposit or check.
What to Expect
Each assignment comes with specific instructions about what to observe, what to purchase, and what questions to ask. After completing the visit, you submit a detailed report through BestMark's online system. Reports are typically due within 12 to 24 hours of the shop. Accuracy and timeliness are important — consistently good work leads to access to higher-paying assignments.
